If your site is infected or blacklisted, make a malware removal request with MyHost.ie. Before you know it, our security team will be on the case removing infections. Making this a seamless process is why we worked to offer a detection and removal bundle with MyHost.ie.

Step 2.

Removal process

Once you make the malware removal request, we will remove the malicious code from your website. In many cases, they’re able to do so with no extra help from you, but be on the lookout for an e-mail from our team as they may need to ask you for extra information to access your server.

Step 3.

Blacklist removal

Once the malware is removed, we’ll contact the blacklisting agencies and clear your site. You can breathe easy as we monitor and protect your website for the entire year. Should it become infected again, MyHost.ie will clean it up again or you can protect your site with MyHost.ie’s cloud proxy firewall.

Depending on the malware removal plan you purchased there may be a clean-up fee for reinfected websites. The name of the game is reducing risk and unfortunately there is no way to reduce risk to 0%. During MyHost.ie’s remediation process they check things like file permissions and software versions. MyHost.ie will do their part to harden the areas they can, and give pointers on other areas that you can take action on to reduce risk eg: implementing our website firewall.
